Incumbents Hold Lead in El Camino Healthcare District Board Race

The three incumbents in the four-candidate race for the El Camino Healthcare District board are projected to retain their seats, based on early election results. Incumbent Dr. Carol Ann Somersille is leading with 30,434 votes (29.44%), followed by Julia Miller with 29,557 votes (28.59%), and John Zoglin with 26,810 votes (25.94%). Newcomer Lynette Lee Eng is trailing with 16,569 votes (16.03%).

The incumbent members of the El Camino Healthcare District board are set to retain their seats, as indicated by Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters’ early election results. The district election featured four candidates, three of whom are current board members.

Dr. Carol Ann Somersille, an obstetrician and gynecologist, leads the pack with 30,434 votes (29.44%). Julia Miller, a former Sunnyvale Council member and longstanding incumbent, has received 29,557 votes (28.59%). John Zoglin, a digital marketing executive, has garnered 26,810 votes (25.94%).

Lynette Lee Eng, a Los Altos City Council member, and new entrant to the race stands fourth with 16,569 votes (16.03%).

The three incumbents, if reelected, will continue to manage the tax-funded district and hold positions on the board of directors at the nonprofit hospital. The district covers most of Mountain View, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, a significant portion of Sunnyvale, and parts of Cupertino, Santa Clara, and Palo Alto.
