Career Opportunity for Architects at Stantec

We’re seeking an Architect preferably licensed in Wisconsin for our Madison office, serving our Healthcare sector along with potential support in workplace, hospitality, mixed-use, DOD/Civic, and retail sectors. The successful candidate should have a strong passion for healthcare and will serve as a senior-level contributor, leading clients through award-winning, fiscally responsible design planning and creation while mentoring others and fulfilling instructions from the Principal-in-Charge.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will manage complex projects, participate in interviews for potential projects, direct the work throughout the project life, keep the Principal-in-Charge updated on project progress, and assist in leading the client and project team. They will also assist in project agreement negotiation, project budgeting, scheduling, staffing needs determination, and client invoicing, and may be required to travel occasionally.

Capabilities and Credentials

Apart from a strong passion and experience in the healthcare sector, the successful candidate should be capable of supporting multiple projects at once, have a deep understanding of accessibility codes, life-safety codes, building codes, Department of Public Health, and building construction systems. Familiarity with industry contractual agreements and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Newforma, Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other 3D modeling software are also required.

Education and Experience

Preferred candidates should have a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture with at least 10 years of experience in healthcare design and planning, possess a license and credentials as an Architect, and have an accreditation in LEED Green Associate or LEED AP or WELL Buildings.
