A triple shooting resulted in Pennsylvania State Police shutting down a bustling section of Interstate 95 in Northeast Philadelphia for several hours during the Wednesday morning rush. The highway was closed between the Betsy Ross Bridge (Exit 26) and Academy Road/Linden Ave (Exit 32) exits following the incident that occurred around 2:40 a.m.

Three individuals sustained injuries in the shooting near the Academy Road exit. One victim had a graze wound, the second is in stable condition, and the third is critically ill, according to state police. The victims, all in their 20s, are residents of Trenton, New Jersey and Morrisville, Bucks County.
