Trump Advocates for Voting Rebellion Post NRA Endorsement
TL/DR –
Former President Trump has been endorsed by the National Rifle Association (NRA) for the 2024 elections, and during a speech at the NRA convention, he urged members to vote for him. Trump suggested that the Second Amendment is “under siege” under President Biden, and claimed that rights of gun owners are on the ballot in 2024. He also criticized independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr, labeling him as “radical left” and unsuitable for voting.
Trump’s Call to NRA Members for 2024 Election Support
Accepting endorsement from the National Rifle Association (NRA), ex-President Trump encouraged members to support him in the 2024 election. He rallied attendees at the NRA convention in Dallas to “be rebellious and vote”, referencing the perceived threat to the Second Amendment under Biden’s administration.
Trump, the presumptive GOP nominee, emphasized the importance of voting, believing that this could lead to overwhelming support at unprecedented levels. He insisted that with the backing of all gun owners, victory is assured.
During his speech, the ninth before NRA, Trump warned that gun ownership rights are at risk in the 2024 election and accused the current administration of intending to “come for your guns 100 percent,” should Biden get reelected. Biden has previously criticized Trump for his comments on school shootings.
The Democratic National Committee (DNC) responded by displaying billboards near the NRA convention venue, criticizing Trump’s stance on gun violence and reform. However, Trump assured NRA members, as he did in Pennsylvania earlier, that their rights would be strongly protected under his leadership.
Turning his attention to the North Carolina Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson, who is a gubernatorial candidate, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Trump criticized the latter as a radical leftist, discouraging votes in his favor. Both men are expected to appear at the upcoming Libertarian Party convention. Despite Kennedy’s challenge for a debate during the convention, Trump dismissed him stating, “RFK Jr. calls you a terrorist group, can’t vote for him.”
