Footage from Arizona’s Family News Chopper showed a significant police presence at the intersection and a black SUV with open doors on the driver’s side. Undercover police trucks were also visible on the scene.

Scottsdale Road’s northbound lanes were closed at Jenan, southbound lanes at Larkspur Drive, and westbound Cactus Road was also closed at Scottsdale Road.

This is the 16th officer-involved shooting in the Valley and the 22nd statewide in 2024 to date.
